1 in 8 schools here has an issue in the government’s record
2.3× the Sivagangai average (1 in 17)
Every school here is on this list for one reason: its own UDISE+ 2024-25 return shows no working girls’ toilet. The rest of its record is listed beside it.
| School | What its record shows | Teachers | Children |
|---|---|---|---|
| GOVT HS NARANAMANGALAM Classes 6–10 | no girls’ toilet, no accessible toilet, nowhere to wash hands | 6 | 90 |
| PUMS KALATHUR Classes 1–8 | no girls’ toilet | 6 | 16 |
| PUPS ARAKOTTAI Classes 1–5 · Kandiyur | girls’ toilet does not function, no accessible toilet, one teacher for the whole school | 1 | 19 |
| PUPS KADAMBAGUDI Classes 1–5 · Naranamangalam | no girls’ toilet | 2 | 9 |
| PUPS KAPPALUR Classes 1–5 | no girls’ toilet, no boys’ toilet, no drinking water | 2 | 7 |
| PUPS OORAVAYAL Classes 1–5 · Iruvinivayal | no girls’ toilet | 2 | 10 |
The government’s own UDISE+ 2024-25 record lists more than a missing toilet at these 6 schools. Every school counted below is one of those 6, not the rest of Kannangudi.
